Free and Reduced Lunch Program 2018-2019
Every year our families must reapply for free and reduced benefits for the national school lunch program (NSLP) and school breakfast program (SBP). At the start of every year there is a 30-day grace period where last year's eligibility remains in effect. That grace period has expired for this year and the families who have not reapplied for free or reduced benefits have defaulted to full paid status. If you have applied this year, then a letter was sent to the address supplied on the application notifying you of your status, which is valid through the end of the year although you may reapply if your finances change throughout the year.
Applications are available in both school offices and in the cafeteria if you would like to apply for benefits.
Please call if you have any questions.

Our school offers a free or reduced price lunch program for those who qualify. Students who qualify also receive free breakfast.
The Dolores School District maintains a cafeteria during the school year. Breakfast is served from 8 to 8:25 a.m. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Ala carte snacks are available to Middle School and High School students during meal times. Our Food Service Director is Chuck Soukup, who is a graduate of the California Culinary Academy. Contact him with any questions or suggestions.
Food services include hot lunches and breakfasts, through participation in the National School Lunch Program. An approved lunch is made available for students to meet at least one third of their daily food requirements.
Food service programs are operated on a nonprofit basis.
Detailed food analysis of each day's menu: calories, cholesterol, sodium, fiber, iron, calcium, vitamins and more. This information is produced automatically when our Food Service Director plans menus.
Vending machines: School vending machines are stocked according to Federal Guidelines for nutritious choices in vending machines.
The District has a committee to develop and monitor a school wellness program which includes supporting and promoting proper dietary habits. Please contact our school nurse, Denise Brisbin, for more information regarding the Wellness Committee.
